Stock market closes bullish with market capitalization up N2b

Trading activities on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) platform closed positive on Tuesday as market capitalisation grew by  N2 billion to close at N27,852 trillion.

The All-share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.02 per cent  to close at 51,138.92 points.

A total of 1.81 million units of shares were traded at 4,669 deals, valued at N5.02 billion.

The market breadth closed flat as TRANSCORP led 21 gainers, and 21 losers topped by VITAFOAM.

TRANSCORP led the gainers chart as it grew by 9.73 per cent  to close at N2.03;  RTBRISCOE was up  9.09 per cent  to close at N0.24; INTENEGINS appreciated 7.50 per cent  to close at N1.29; NAHCO gained 5.45 per cent  to close at N11.60; while AFRIPRUD grew by 4.81 per cent  to close at N5.45.

NGX tops N4.7trn in capital raising with Coronation MB listing of N25bn bondHowever,  VITAFOAM topped the losers chart as it shed 8.65 per cent  to close at N16.90; LINKASSURE was  down 8.33 per cent  to close at N0.44; SOVRENINS  depreciated 6.90 per cent to close at N0.27; while COURTVILLE sheddown  0.42 per cent  to close at N0.42

At the end of trading activities on Tuesday, the  Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 0.88 per cent, while the stock market advanced by 456.74 basis points.
